Forest School - outdoor learning

Intent for Forest School and Outdoor Learning:

At Grange View we have developed an outdoor learning curriculum that is to inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences and provide them with an opportunity to appreciate the wider natural world to encourage a responsibility for nature conservation in later life. We intend to make long lasting links with our wider community and continue to establish Grange View as a beacon of the village.  We aim to enable each child attending Forest School sessions to have the opportunity to develop an inquisitive and positive relationship with the natural world. We aim to increase confidence, self-esteem and respect in order to prepare children for an ever changing world. We wish to give every child an opportunity to achieve their holistic potential.

Forest fun 2021:
We are very proud of the outdoor learning and forest area we have developed at our school, it is used well by the community and pupils to develop their love of nature, resilience and life skills. This is transferred to their life outside of school, on Friday 8th October it was Forest School Day, so alongside World Mental Health day on Sunday 10th October we thought it would be lovely to celebrate and share all the forest fun the children have with their friends and families outside of school.
